If your eyes keep rolling on seeing John Chow’s or Everton’s monthly earnings report then you would probably faint on knowing how much TechCrunch - the Internet startups Mecca is earning.
TechCrunch, started by Michael Arrington in 2005, generates a whopping $240,000.00 per month in advertising. With eight writers on board, it also pulls in additional revenue from conferences and parties. In order to advertise on their homepage, TechCrunch charges $10,000 per month. And to display an ad on their Jobs section they charge $200.
What started as a hobby of Michael Arrington now turned out to be a money generating machine. And as far as the costs are concerned Arrington says "Our costs are only headcount."
